Message from the president:
February 2011
Welcome to a “new” CBBF
During the later months of 2010 the CBBF modified the rules for all CBBF events and changed the structure of our Executive Committee. We believe these changes were required to enhance the competitive opportunities for our athletes and to improve the CBBF as an organization.
Following extensive discussions with the IFBB President, Dr. Rafael Santonja and the VP of N.A. and President of the IFBB Professional League, Mr Jim Manion, we have overhauled our rules for all our events.
Athletes will certainly be happy with the changes to the rules for competitions and the various avenues they will have to continue their competitive careers into the IFBB Professional League or the IFBB International stream.
First let me introduce our team:
Debbie Karpenko – CBBF Vice Chair of Judging
John MacLellan – CBBF Vice Chair of Finance and Administration
Garry Bartlett – CBBF Official Photographer
Darren McKeigan – CBBF Website Provider
We hope to appoint a Market Representative as well as a CCES/IOC Liaison Officer in the near future.
With changes in competition rules, Garry Bartlett will have access to all athletes at the 3 CBBF national events and he will provide pictures of each athlete to our website.

The CBBF Selection Committee shall determine whether athletes will be provided financial or other assistance to compete at IFBB International events.
