Bicep/Tricep...
Ok so I have a question......
Since losing 110lbs, if I build my biceps/triceps....will it reduce the amount of hanging flab on my upper arms?Like fill it out or something....... I'm lifting as heavey as I can when I do Upper body workouts. I really want to build some definition ..... but I'm suffering from a large amount of saggy arms and breasts on mu upper body. the only thing Alberta Health care will pay for is a Paniculectomy( apron of skin in the lower tummy area) I would rather do what I can by working out and eating a clean diet to lower my fat %. but this saggy skin is quite discouraging. Any suggestions?
Thank you
Chrissy

Increasing tricep and bicep mass should help.

your best bet, if you don't want surgery is to start building some muscle on your frame, which you already know. As your thicken through the shoulders, back, chest and legs, some of the slack will be taken up. Natural shrinkage will occur over time and can be aided with nutritional support: enough water, good oils and fats. Adequate amounts of magnesium and zinc in the diet can aid in restoring skin elasticity. Also, growth hormone help with lose skin, but a bit risky for women and you need a script.
If after one year you don't see much results, the only thing you can do is surgery. Skin is highly elastic - like a waist band on sweat pants. Still, it has its tolerances, and once those tolerances are exceeded, it loses its elasticity. Think of it like socks or sweats. If you pulled really hard, it would remain stretched out. When you're obese, that's what happened.

if muscle mass increases the percentage of fat is lower without losing any fat, so added muscle is always decreasing fat percentage not to mention metabolic effect of more muscle.

Gaining muscular size will help and it's your only option at this point besides surgery. Ideally, you would have started lifting weights right after the gastric bypass in order to maintain as much muscle as possible. When not lifting weights most people lose about 60% fat and 40% muscle.

Chrissy...Please take this the right way. I'm 54 yrs old...in clothing I look hot all year round. Close to contest i have NO boobs and I don't have NAKED self esteem at that time.
I pad my bras..focus on my tiny hips, great striated shoulders and chest. Do what I do..hide our flaws..I have a 30 yr old daughter, I'm not a 25 yr old any longer.....I don't have great abs all year long..I don't focus on my abs off season ....but do my chest when I wear a low cut sweater. Winter is your best friend...camouflage your arms....
Wear 3/4 length sleeves..show your cleavage if it's your best advantage..
OMG girl...110 lbs..Can I hire you for motivation?
