Viking Open
Went to my first powerlifting meet a few weeks back. The Viking Open in Medicine Hat. It was a small meet so I didn't have any competition in my division and weight class but I did get a total that qualifies me for nationals. I have to double check that I meet all the qualifying criteria but I will likely be lifting at the CPU nationals in Calgary in April.
I have a short clip of me in this video 3:52 to 4:02. I was competing in the classic division (Raw) a lot of the other lifters were geared.

Can't see the video.
What were your totals ? CPU in April - might see you there. I won't be lifting but I may be judging.
You should come to Whitecourt in June, June 23 for the Western nationals. It's also going to be an American challenge so there should be lots of competitor's could be up to 300 lifter's between us and the Americans.

83kg class (182.6)
Squat 172.5kg (379.5)
Bench 122.5kg (269.5)
Deadlift 215kg (473)
Total 510kg (1122)
I was still getting used to the belt and coming back from a quad injury so was quite conservative on my squat and Deadlift. Training has been going well. I expect my squat over 400 and DL over 500 in April. Bench will hopefully be up a little but seems to be slow going. When I miss I get stuck about 3 inches off my chest. Been doing 1 and 2 board presses trying to work the sticking point any other suggestions?
