Absolutely, side effects are really awesome like better metabolism, ie more energy, less prone to get fat, boost the good hormones, reduce stress / cortisol, getting stronger, burn more calories 24/24, stay/appear younger while getting older, better sex, better at doing pretty much everything. On the bad side effect, I would say if you train with bad form / too heavy, you can injure yourself, with correct form you should be A1.
Women are often afraid to be 'too muscular', it won't happen unless you go on gear.
