Kamloops woman killed in highway crash near Hope

A 35-year-old Kamloops woman is dead following a single-vehicle car crash on Highway 1 outside of Hope.

Police said the woman’s 2008 Pontiac was heading westbound on Highway 1 at 3:45 a.m. Thursday morning when it failed to negotiate a curve.

The car swerved off the road and travelled through a ditch before striking a large highway information sign, said police. It came to a stop against a tree.

Police said the woman died on scene of her injuries. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. She was the lone occupant.

Very sad and feel bad for her friends and family. But, where are the rest of the notices for people who died this weekend? Or how about our soldiers in action?
