Default Keeping muscle after complete hysterectomy

I had to have a hysterectomy due to ovarian cancer a couple of years ago. Having trouble keeping muscle bulk even though I hit the weights 4-5 days a week. Any suggestions?

I'm by no means an expert by any stretch, but if your diet is good then perhaps there are some hormonal issues which could be a culprit. Perhaps a doctor visit just to remove a variable?

    Hi Deb,
The patients at our clinic who have had hysterectomy's are on replacement bioidentical progesterone, estrogen and testosterone cream. This is essential to reproduce any lost hormones. Are you in the Toronto area? The key is to locate a professional who is skilled with balancing hormones using bioidentical and NOT synthetic replacement hormones. Send me a PM and I can give you the details on the clinic if you are in the area.
