controlling estrogen to control prolactin?

hi P,

been almost 3 years since my last cycle, I plan on doing just 500mg of test for 10-12 weeks. I didn't plan on taking any nolvadex on cycle as I don't really get gyno symptoms, but since I have a hyperprolactinemia that I have to control I am now wondering would I need to take nolvadex to keep estrogen in check?

I am already on .25mg of cabergoline weekly to keep the hyperprolactinemia in check. which is has been for a few years, but doctor did mention elevated estrogen levels can also cause prolactin to increase.

other thing im thinking is to just take .5mg of cabergoline weekly to combat any increase in prolactin that I may get from the aromatization of the test to estrogen?

if I do the nolvadex how much would be sufficient for that test dose?

Increased estro can aggravate prolactin issues yes. However that depends on the individual. I would suggest to have an AI on hand such as aromasin or arimidex as opposed to nolva. Nolva is a SERM which means it is a weak estrogen and blocks the estrogen receptor however you will still have plenty of estrogen in your bloodstream if your body tends to armomatize test easily. If you use an AI you avoid estrogen altogether by preventing the aromatization.

cool, I will get b work done in 3 weeks to see how much estrogen is gone up and take an ai accordingly.
