OPA naturals stream. IMHO OPA is the only way to go. But im not sure how the advancing and levels gos in the natural stream. Theres lots of orgs such as OPA, fame, even dare i say it (Fitness star, AHHHHHHH painful). But OPA is the only one that means shit.

scouted, and taking home a goody bag is not OPA. But that doesn't mean it isn't the best natural place to compete in.

Scouted for what? Goody bag? These are the 2 least important things for a natural bodybuilder to be thinking about. The only bodybuilders that will be "scouted" for anything aren't going to be competing natural. If you want to become a poster boy for different organizations, perhaps fitness modeling might have more "scouting" oppurtunies.

That being said, try all of them. Most natural competitors do so at some point and find their "niche". OPA, IDFA, WBBF, FAME, Neturon...these are the most common you'll find in ontario.

If you are doing it just for fun, all shows will be good. pick the one closest to home where more of your friends and family will be able to be a part of it. OPA would be the only one whos path would allow you to compete at the IFBB worlds. but each other stream have their own version of "worlds", so I guess it all depends on what you want to take out of competing.

The other good thing is many natural shows around canada take place within a month of each other, so it allows you to do a few (kill 2-3 birds with one stone so to speak).

When were you looking to compete?

well thats what it will be a challenge for me to make 176 as a middle weight, but if i continue bulking i know i wont be able to and would have to move up a weight class and possibly come in at the bottom of the weight class ( not good )

I have had a great run with the OPA thus far. I did the National Capital in May of 2009, and the Ottawa's in November of 2009. I am prepping now for the Provincials in September in Hamilton and I am on track and pace to come in perhaps a couple pounds heavier, and looking a lot better than November's show. I can only compete Natty, as I have a congenital heart defect...lucky me.
