Default How to be Back Strong and Beltless - Transverse Abdominis

Very good article by Paul Chek
More info about the tranverse abdominus and why I believe it is a very important muscle for lower back & hip injury prevention.

I love all the stuff from Chek and have been able to meet with a few people from the Chek institute and they are all very smart people.

Unfortunately I have not seen any thing that correlates diaphragmatic breath and pelvic floor activation. If someone has any article about the subject please let me know as I believe that this is the lost soldier in prevention and treatment of low back pain and overall strength

Warlock, 100% agree. The pelvic diagrapm and Thoracic diaghram need to be in perfect syncronization to alleviate the low back and create a proper pressure barrier within the visceral compartments of the abdomin.

I have been putting a lot of emphasis on the transverses abdominis trying to help woman who have had children and are trying to lose weight help naturally tighten there cores and undo some damage, i have not started any serious testing yet but i have been working out some intense workouts trying to isolate and identify it. I have had some great success in todays work outs. Check out the last post in my log for details on my new workout.
