Have you always been an active person - did you play sports in your youth?
YES; FOOTBALL, TRACK & FIELD, HOCKEY

What made you get into bodybuilding competition?

WANTED TO STAY IN CONDITION YEAR ROUND AND HAD A DESIRE TO SEE IF I COULD TRANSFORM MY BODY INTO A SCULPTED PIECE OF ART. ALWAYS ADMIRED THE SPORT AND THE DEDICATION THAT SURFACED FROM THOSE WHO WERE INVOLVED.

Have you competed in other categories as well?
    NO

How has the sport impacted your life?
IT HAS GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND FEEL GREAT. THE MOST ENCOURAGING ASPECT ABOUT THE SPORT AND LEARNING THE ART FORM AND SCIENCE COMPRISING IT, HAS PROVIDED ME TREMENDOUS OPPORTUNITIES TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND MOTIVATION TO THOSE THAT I WORK WITH, FAMILY AND FRIENDS ABOUT BEING ABLE TO ACHIEVE DREAMS AND THAT EACH OF US CAN LIVE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. LIFE IS ALWAYS ABOUT LIVING WITHOUT REGRETS AND BODYBUILDING HAS PROVIDED A VENUE WHERE I AM ABLE TO DO THAT BY BEING ABLE TO BE AN INSPIRATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO OTHERS.

Who do you look up to in the industry and who has helped you along the way?
MY GYM TRAINING PARTNER AND COACH FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS WAS MR. ALBERTA 2003 SAM BETKE, WHO INTRODUCED ME TO THE SPORT AND WAS A CONSTANT ENCOURGEMENT TO ME ALONG THE WAY. DEAN DAVENPORT PHOTOGRAPHY WAS A GREAT SUPPORTER AFTER MY OVERALL ALBERTA WIN IN 2010. IFBB PRO RAEJHA DOUZIECH HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE MY CONTEST PREP TRAINER AND NUTRITION EXPERT. SHE HAS BEEN A TREMENDOUS INFLUENCE TO ME AND PROVIDES GREAT FEEDBACK. MORE RECENTLY, IFBB PRO TROY BROWN HAS NOW BEEN PROVIDING ME ADDITIONAL COACHING AND ON FLOOR TRAINING. RAEJHA AND TROY NOW BOTH WORK WITH ME ON ALL ASPECTS OF MY DEVELOPMENT AND I AM EXCITED TO SEE WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS. ALL OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE PLAYED KEY ROLES IN MY DEVELOPMENT AS A BODYBUILDER AND LEARNING TO BE A TRUE PROMOTER OF THE SPORT.

    Favorite foods for dieting?
ORGANIC BISON, FRESH YELLOWTAIL(FIN) TUNA SASHIMI, FRESH GRILLED HALIBUT

    For cheating?
PASTA & REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

Are there any sports supplements that you cannot live without?
NOPE, JUST GIVE ME WATER, BISON, FRUIT & PASTA AND I AM GOOD TO GO.

Are you sponsored by a company? If so, who?
STATE FARM INSURANCE, HEALTH FOR SUCCESS (healthforsuccess.net)

What is a typical day for you when prepping for a show?
WAKE UP @ 6.15AM, PREP FOR WORK, 8oz. WATER, PREP BREAKFAST, DRIVE TO WORK, EAT 1ST MEAL, WORK, EAT 2ND MEAL, WORK, EAT 3RD MEAL, TRAIN, DRIVE HOME, EAT 4TH MEAL, 20 MIN. CARDIO, STRETCHING, EAT 5TH MEAL, PREP FOOD FOR NEXT DAY, SHOWER, EAT 6TH MEAL, SLEEPING BY 11PM.

What do you find the most difficult about this sport?
I AM A HARD GAINER SO PREPARING AND GETTING IN ALL MY FOOD ON A CONSISTENT DAILY BASIS.

Do you have any tips or advice to give to men/women who are thinking of trying out the sport?

FIND AN EXCELLENT TRAINER WHO HAS A TERRIFIC HISTORY WITH NUTRITION PLANS FOR COMPETITIVE WOMEN OR MEN AND WORK VERY CLOSELY WITH HIM/HER.

When will we next see you on stage?
2011 OR 2012 CANADIAN NATIONALS &/OR NORTH AMERICANS

Ha ha. small world. I remember this guy from when I was a kid in Saskatchewan... He was quite the football star and athlete.

His dad was super religious and ran the circle square ranch... I remember having to go there a few times as a kid. The guy was very quick and nimble....

Funny how we both ended up in the iron game..... although I believe I was already throwing weights around at a younger age than him.

Nice physique... nice wheels, needs to bring up the chest and arms to match the wheels, and the back.

    Hey Chad,

    Great profile dude!

It is great to see a guy who comes along and has only competed twice and wins both classes and to top that wins both overall titles!!

You have great balance and crazy muscle thickness, and do you know what, you are just getting better and better!!

You are a true warrior and I feel you still have not even hit your best, as you have only competed twice!!! Not like me, 20 shows in total!!

    Nationals here you come!!

Sky is the limit for you and I really mean it!!

    Your friend

    Troy Duracell Brown
