    Default Lazy youngsters

Many younger guys approach me at the gym asking me how to get ripped. I tell them that they gotta diet accordingly and also do cardio. Most of them make excuses why they cannot eat clean and how much they hate cardio. They also start asking about supplements that help for fat loss. I tell them that they still have to diet even if they are taking the "best" fat burner. I see them day in and day out with no progress and when I ask them how their fat loss is going, they bitch about not losing weight. I just wanna yell at them for being so damn lazy. It even pisses me off even more when they ask which steroid can help them get lean and ripped!

people are fairly delusional as if there is some mysterious secret out there and if you get your hands on it you too can join the fit people lol people in all areas of life seem to think that you can just be great without putting in any effort and practice. Take Tiger Woods for example, ppl say wow I wish I had his talent but in reality Tigers father was a golfing enthusiast who had his son training for golf at an early age on a very intensive schedule. There is actually very little evidence for having spontaneous prodigy or talent in an area of performance and hours spent practicing is extremely more predictive in determining greatness.

Long story short, greatness requires effort.

People would like to be big and ripped or have a six pack etc the key word here being "like". If they wanted these characteristics the key word now being "want" then they would do what is necessary to achieve them. The issue being most people do not want to make the sacrifice necessary to achieve these goals.

Pretty much my thoughts. Everyone wants the results of hard work and effort without the hard work and effort. This could apply to bodybuilding, finances or relationships.

It is not just young people, most older people have the same mindset. That is why so many people will start a workout program and 3 weeks in give up. They finally realize that it takes hard work and a long term commitment. They want the end result but not enough to sacrifice for it.

I usually tell people that, "If it was easy everyone would be big and ripped."

i have to agree 100% I'm 21 and get annoyed by all the stupidities I hear from the people who "train" in my age group. Next thing you know after 6 months of training they claim to be "getting ready" for a competition. On a positive note, there are some pretty good bodybuilders/competitors from the ages of 20-25 so hopefully that can help influence the one's who really are serious about it
