Default Anyone ever injure their wrist ?

So I hurt my wrist swinging a 45 lb plate up to the squat bar last night. I have a bad habit of 'flicking' it up with my strong arm and grabbing it with the other simultaneously. But I missed it and the plate went back down while I tried to hold on to it. Dumb move. It isn't swollen but it hurts like crazy and I can't put much pressure on it or hyper extend it. I'm gonna take a week or two off along with some ice and ibuprofen. I doubt the severity is more than a sparin but I'd like to know if anyone else has been there and how long it took to improve to where they could lift again.

Mine lasted a few weeks, I used wrist straps and that helped with ice, and Advil.
In the morning use Rub-535 for stiffness.

I ****ed my wrist up several times boxing when I first started out. I would just get some boxing hand wraps and Google how to properly wrap your wrist. Don't buy the stuff from WalMart, even their Everlast stuff is garbage. Just buy a cheap pair from a sporting goods store or boxing gym. Your wrist should be fine with most movements, maybe just try to go for a higher rep range for a while.
