I hear you on being wiped. I usually wait until the last few days to think about my routine. It usually ends with me saying: I plan 2 poses, and wing the rest. Generally people always say my routines are pretty good, but I think I practice transitions in general. I mean, we all pose probably everytime we see a mirror throughout prep. I guess that helps. I do however know that when I do have extra time to perfect a routine, it shows. Yes, my winged routines are so-so, but a planned routine will show - the judges will see that, you're score won't change, but they'll remember you. In a subjective sport, you want judges to remember you (for next time). Any advantage helps. And if you are known as the guy that is an awesome poser, they will be looking at you the next time they see you.
